On Saturday, March 31st, we held the Annual Rotary Club Days of Wine and Roses here at Bluegrass. This is always a well attended and very anticipated event for Hendersonville. We are of course very proud to be a part of it! Every year, Rotarians and other members of the community join together to sample spirits, beer, and of course wine in our Ballroom while perusing the silent auction items. Also, a live auction is held to raise more funds for the Rotary Foundation. Dan Claussen from Trap the Light Photography was so kind to provide us with some pictures from the event!
Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club's General Manager, Rick Burkardt, (shown above being introduced by Fox 17's Scott Couch) introduced a golf package to ClubCorp's Firestone Country Club to be auctioned off during the live auction.

Pope John Paul II- Celebrating 10 Years!
This past Saturday, we hosted the Pope John Paul II School Fundraiser here at the club! This was their 10th anniversary, so we did it up with style!
This is part 3 of our "Winter Wonderland" series. Again, I didn't intend to do that!
Guests were greeted by this magnificent lighted display at the top of the stairs, wow!
The stairs in our lobby were decked out with lights, tulle, and sparkle!
Here's a close-up of what was tied to the banisters:
Let's take another look at that sign!
As we do for most of our fund raisers, silent and live auction items were available. Here's some of the high lights:
I love the lighting and decorations! This gave the auction items a little sparkle while keeping everything in the theme.
We also used the Glassroom for the majority of the auction items:
What's that in the back? An ice sculpture! To celebrate the 10th anniversary, JP II's ice sculpture showed off the occasion with style!
Wow! That's amazing! Here's a close-up:
Meanwhile, in the Ballroom, the room was set up for an elegant plated dinner.
Keeping with JP II's colors of blue and white, the Ballroom kept the Winter Wonderland theme with more snowflakes, lighting, ice, branches, ornaments, and white flowers. The centerpieces varied by table, which we love!
The faculty had their very own table:
Looking to host a fundraiser, wedding, rehearsal dinner, milestone celebration, or party-just-for-the-heck of it? Call Kat today at 615-824-6528 Ext. 111 or E-mail me!

As always, a fabulous time was had by all! The parents love giving back to JP II and the school greatly appreciates it! Happy 10th Anniversary, JP II!

Holiday Fest St. Nicholas Ball
Last night we held the 5th Annual Holiday Fest St. Nicholas Ball here at the Club. This year, the event was put on by the YMCA to benefit the Learn to Swim program. Bluegrass was honored to be a part of Holiday Fest again this year! The night turned out really great, so here's some highlights!
Let's start with the cake. Donated by Faboo Cakes, this was an amazing work of art!
The tables looked awesome! With some of our in house centerpieces (no charge), greenery and other elements were used to create a great look!
Over in the Glassroom, four professionally decorated trees were available for silent auction. These trees are decorated on Friday and voted on by the Mayor and other prominent people of Hendersonville. Here is the first place entry:
Here's the other entries:
Also available for silent auction were gingerbread houses made by various members of the community. These were the "prize" gingerbread houses that were displayed around town and voted on.
Today at the club we hosted our annual Santa Brunch. We are now in the thick of the holiday season at Bluegrass, but for now we wanted to take a moment to stop and say:
It's not too soon to start thinking about next year's holiday season. Dates start filling up in January so be sure to check your calendar and give Kat a call. 615-824-6528 Ext. 111.

St. Joseph Blue & Gold Gala
We have shown a lot of events on here, but we don't just do wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, sweet sixteen parties, ceremonies, and class reunions. (Even though we do those things very well.) A lot of events here at Bluegrass are fundraisers! On November 5th, we hosted the St. Joseph School Blue & Gold Gala. It was a record setting fundraiser. We had so many auction items I couldn't believe it! The theme was "Old Time Circus" and it couldn't have turned out better!
Each room had a name, and the "Big Top" (aka, the Ballroom) held the bar, seating, and live auction. Here's the Ring Leader, who was welcoming everyone to the circus.
The Ballroom was set up with red and white to continue the theme.
What fun centerpieces! The circus needs balloons, and of course popcorn!
DIY lighting: flashlights! My flash is covering up the effect, but it looked really cool with the lights and the feathers!
Guests got to sneak at peek at the live auction items.
The Center Ring (aka: the Glassroom) was where we set up one of the largest silent auctions we have ever done!
Soooo many items!
And more...
The silent auction was so large we had to go outside! Here is the Strong Man showing me to the Side Show (aka: the Patio)
The Patio was set up as the "Man Cave". All the "manly" silent auction items were set up outside.
Here's some more of the auction items. Cigars were also available for purchase to give the patio even more of a "Man Cave" feel.
Yes, the silent auction was so huge we had to expand into the Lobby. This is really neat: each class made a unique work of art to be auctioned at the Gala.
The appetizers continued the theme... can you spot the circus animals in with the fruit and cheese?
Here's all the circus performers: the Ring Leader, the Strong Man, and the Juggler. It was a really great night!
Are you organizing a fundraiser in Sumner County? Where else is there to go?! Call Kat at 615-824-6528 Ext. 111 or E-mail to get started!
