Last Friday night we hosted the "Night Among the Stars" with the Hendersonville Chamber Annual Awards Banquet. It was AWESOME! We are always happy to support the Hendersonville Chamber. With lots of silver, red, and black, it was a truly special event. Check it out!
Outside the Ballroom, guests were greeted with this fantastic display.
Inside the Ballroom, a "step and repeat" was set up for great press photos.
For the cocktail hour, these high-top tables were set up near the bar.
Thanks to a partnership from Liberty Party Rental, the tables were really special! Ivory floor length cloths, charcoal overlays, brown wooden folding chairs, ivory sashes, and ruby red napkins make for a very fresh, unique color scheme.
Custom programs awaited the guests at their seats.
The centerpieces, provided by Historic Rock Castle, were simple and unique. They were available for purchase by the guests at the end of the night.
What a great night!
I have been fortunate enough to receive some professional photos from Trap the Light Photography. Enjoy!

Hendersonville Rotary Days of Wine and Roses
On Saturday, March 31st, we held the Annual Rotary Club Days of Wine and Roses here at Bluegrass. This is always a well attended and very anticipated event for Hendersonville. We are of course very proud to be a part of it! Every year, Rotarians and other members of the community join together to sample spirits, beer, and of course wine in our Ballroom while perusing the silent auction items. Also, a live auction is held to raise more funds for the Rotary Foundation. Dan Claussen from Trap the Light Photography was so kind to provide us with some pictures from the event!
Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club's General Manager, Rick Burkardt, (shown above being introduced by Fox 17's Scott Couch) introduced a golf package to ClubCorp's Firestone Country Club to be auctioned off during the live auction.

Lawler/Peace Wedding Reception
December weddings have a way of getting out of control. Some brides take the "Winter Wonderland" theme and go too far. Want to see a December wedding done right? Check out these pictures from our most recent wedding reception in the Ballroom!
Guests were greeted by the place card table outside the Ballroom, which displayed the place cards written by the Bride herself!
A different take on the card box: this little house was placed on the gift table.
The Ballroom was already decorated for Christmas, so the decor was designed to compliment the existing decorations.
The table numbers displayed pictures of the Bride and Groom at various ages, how cute!
The centerpieces alternated between roses and various candles and cranberries. Very nice!
We used our in-house linens for the tables. White cloths with burgundy napkins gave a festive feel without being too "Christmas-y". We covered the chairs and used silver chair ties to bring it all together.
Now that's a head table! Sparkling lanterns were hung from the hooks in the tray ceiling. They looked like giant ornaments!
The head table was simple and elegant. I just love the current trend of leaving vases on the tables for the bridesmaids' bouquets!
The dinner buffet was in the lobby. We used ornaments and greenery to match the decorations in the Ballroom.
Time for cake! The main wedding cake was AWESOME! Just love the ribbons, well done by our friends at Faboo Cakes!
The groom's cake was in the shape of a baseball diamond.
Here's a close-up:
So what do we do with the Christmas trees already in the Ballroom? The Bride and Groom were inventive and placed pictures on the trees!
For the grand exit, we have seen all the staples: rice, bird seed, bubbles, sparklers... For this wedding, the bride and groom exited with a dusting of snow.
Snow? Yes, snow. Fake snow. This biodegradable product called Ecofetti dissolves in water for quick, Earth-friendly clean-up!
It was a really fun night, and everything was just beautiful! Congratulations Kelsey and Corey!
