Smith/Hoefler Wedding & Reception

I had so much fun helping Eddie and Tiffany plan their wedding! From day one, it was clear that Bluegrass was a perfect match for their wedding. Beautiful room for the ceremony, dazzling Ballroom for the reception, a Private Event Director that ALSO went to Florida State and pledged the same sorority... (Go 'Noles!)

The result is this beautiful wedding and reception. A great spring wedding at Bluegrass!

We start with the ceremony in the Glassroom. The Glassroom offers the benefits of an outdoor ceremony without the drawbacks that Mother Nature can provide. With the weather being a little less than stellar this past Saturday, it was clear that it's possible to have a ceremony with a beautiful golf course backdrop without the warmer temperatures.

Christmas lights and a yellow linen gave the arch and unity candle some personality, just like the bride and groom!

We added some special touches to make the ceremony a little more special.

These floral arrangements were just beautiful! Thanks to Bianca at Flower Express!

After the ceremony, it was off to the Ballroom for the reception! Guests were greeted by these cute mason jars with personalized tags!

Each tag had the name of the guest and the table the guest was assigned to.

(I apologize my camera work is not that great, still trying to figure out my new camera...)

We filled the mason jars with our signature Bluegrass Fruit Tea. Ahem, make that adult Fruit Tea.

The Ballroom was decked out in a cheerful, spring-time yellow! The floral arrangements looked really great, too!

The guest tables were full of fun stuff! Rock candy, disposable cameras, book marks.... Check out those table numbers! Just vellum paper taped into a cylinder with a flameless tea light inside! So cute!

Our friends at Ace Photography supplied these bookmarks of the happy couple. The guests were also invited to fill out these luggage tags to extend well wishes to Tiffany and Eddie.

Guests were invited to play a game with their disposable cameras on the table. How much fun!

I love a cute sweetheart table! The bride and groom had these adorable signs that hung from the back of their chairs!

The cake was of course a masterpiece, as provided by Faboo Cakes!

The groom's cake...wow. As a fellow 'Nole, I think this may be my favorite groom's cake EVER!

That's Doak Campbell Stadium! (Did I mention I used to work in that building?)

For the bride and groom's exit, sparklers were provided for the guests along with personalized mints.

To light the sparklers, personalized match books were provided. Adorable!

Tiffany and Eddie really are a perfect match! I was so glad to be a part of their special day!

To make the day even better, I had the opportunity to work with some of my very favorite vendors!

Lockman/Nelms Wedding & Reception

This past Saturday, April 7th, we hosted the Lockman/Nelms Wedding and Reception. It was so much fun to help Jenna and Matt plan their wedding. The theme was "shabby chic", with lots of ivory, blush, and green. It was beautiful! Check it out!

We did the ceremony in the Glassroom. It could not have been a prettier day! The light was so beautiful. That's our arch right there!

The arch had some help from Flower Express, and it was simply stunning!

The chairs had some really pretty floral "cones", which were perfect for the theme.

We used our in-house display table for a really unique, interactive guest book.

The guests used the ink to put finger prints on the picture so they looked like leaves. Then, the guests wrote their names next to their finger print! How cute!

The gift table greeted guests as they walked into the Ballroom.

Speaking of the Ballroom...it looked amazing!

The tables had more amazing flowers, they looked perfect!

Remember these? Wedding themed "cootie catchers" were on every table for some old-school fun!

Every place setting had a menu and a baseball card in honor of the groom's favorite hobby.

The cake was just gorgeous! More flowers made it the focal point of the room.

Oh, but the groom's cake! We had a little sod left over from our Easter Egg Hunt, so we added that little something extra to the home plate!

Wow! Those are actually cupcakes! Can you believe it?!

Oh, but the candy table! This was truly amazing!

It was just beautiful! Perfect day, perfect place, perfect wedding!

Hendersonville Rotary Days of Wine and Roses

On Saturday, March 31st, we held the Annual Rotary Club Days of Wine and Roses here at Bluegrass. This is always a well attended and very anticipated event for Hendersonville. We are of course very proud to be a part of it! Every year, Rotarians and other members of the community join together to sample spirits, beer, and of course wine in our Ballroom while perusing the silent auction items. Also, a live auction is held to raise more funds for the Rotary Foundation. Dan Claussen from Trap the Light Photography was so kind to provide us with some pictures from the event!

Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club's General Manager, Rick Burkardt, (shown above being introduced by Fox 17's Scott Couch) introduced a golf package to ClubCorp's Firestone Country Club to be auctioned off during the live auction.
