Bowers/Hunter Wedding Reception

Want to see what a wedding reception for 350 people looks like? On July 14th, 2012, we hosted the Bowers/Hunter wedding reception in our Ballroom and Glassroom! Despite a little rain, it turned out to be a beautiful day!

Outside the Ballroom, a signature frame, photo book, and framed photos of the couple's parents' wedding photos greeted guests.

Inside the Ballroom, these cute monogramed wreaths decorated the gift table.

The Ballroom was decked out in blue!

The Glassroom offered overflow seating. The scenery was decoration enough!

We had the player piano on to offer musical entertainment.

Centerpieces were kept simple. I didn't get a great shot of the floral centerpieces, but these candles were really neat!

I'll let you in on our little trick: when we need extra seating in the Ballroom, we encroach upon the dance floor just a little bit. Four tables placed on the corner of the dance floor became the reserved tables for the bridal party and family. Looks like we did it on purpose, huh?

No sweetheart table for this couple! They just wanted to mingle with their guests! This "&" symbol reserved their places, though.

At every place setting, we did a pocket fold for the custom-made menus. A single biscotti was also placed at each and every place setting.

Cake! This cake was so cute!

I love the monogram!

The groom's cake we hid in plain sight in the lobby. Very cool X-box cake!

The bar had these cute little chalkboards which displayed what was hosted at the bar.

Finally, back in the Glassroom, a photo booth was available to entertain guests. (Provided by Spanger Entertainment.) Here's the wide array of props available!

What a fun wedding! Congratulations to Christy & Jason!

Schmitt/Sartain Wedding Reception

May 5th, 2012 was a day meant for events: Cinco de Mayo, the Kentucky Derby....and the Schmitt/Sartain Wedding! I had so much fun with Kristin and Bryn helping them plan their wedding reception! It was truly a special day!

We start out in the Glassroom, where the guests were treated to a cocktail hour.

The weather was perfect outside, so the patio was a popular place to hang out while guests awaited the bride and groom.

The centerpieces were simple, yet reflected the theme that would be seen in the Ballroom later.

We brought in some of our soft seating from our lower lobby to create a lounge area.

Between the Glassroom and the Ballroom, guests were invited to browse through a photos of the couple's engagement session.

We have been seeing some creative guest books lately! This week we have a guitar! Painted by the bride, this created a great writing surface and a fun keepsake for the bride and groom.

I grabbed a picture after it was signed:

The reception followed in the Ballroom. Always a breathtaking sight!

The guests found their names written on these adorable cards wedged into wine corks!

The gift table included these cute greenery initials!

The table numbers were designated by number cut-outs and wine bottles with beautiful florals.

The sweetheart table kept the same theme.

Love this trend! These signs are just tied to the back of the chairs!

I always recommend giving your guests something to do during the reception. A photo area was provided for the guests to get creative and create some fun memories! These props were some of the best we have seen!

The cake was a delicious buttercream beauty decorated with simple flowers.

The Groom's cake was great! I can honestly say this is the first Xbox cake I have ever seen. (By the way, it was peanut and jelly flavored! Yum!)

Favors were provided for the guests on the bar. "To have and to hold and to keep your drink cold!" Cheers to Kristin and Bryn!

It was a lovely day that couldn't have been better!

Merrol Hyde Snow Ball

This one's going to be short and sweet!

Without intention, I am bringing you part 2 of our "Winter Wonderland" series as this has been a recurring theme here at the club lately.

On Saturday, February 4th, we hosted the annual Merrol Hyde Snow Ball! This is almost like a little warning to us that prom season is coming soon. Check out the lovely decor that the kids from Merrol Hyde Magnet School enjoyed on Saturday!

The Ballroom was decked out with black, white, and lots of snowflakes!

Those are our ever versatile brandy glasses: another example of how infinite the possibilities are!

New trend alert! Do-it-yourself photo "booths". A backdrop + props = lots of fun!

These great snowflakes were hung from the corners of our dance floor. Have I mentioned that we have hooks inside our tray ceiling?

For refreshments, we provided some light snacks and dessert along with some of our signature punch!

Everyone had a great time! See you next year!
